As part of our re-brand of the core ANT1 channel, Red Bee Media also re-branded ANT1 News.
The Challenge
ANT1 News is a trusted platform that offers the best daily news experience in Greece. The challenge was to extend the iconic pink Antenna square we had developed for the core channel into the design for the news brand.
The Solution
Moving away from the over-used broadcasting news palette of red, white and blue, we gave ANT1 News an identity which confidently uses the pink and black palette that was central to the Antenna channel brand’s identity, also created by Red Bee Media. The re-brand consists of many elements including intros and outros, backwards-moving graphics, screen swipes, interview screens, text panels, information backgrounds and a weather design system to ensure consistency across the brand and set.
The dynamic nature of the ANT1 News logo becomes the source of all news platforms. The infinite nature of breaking news is illustrated as ANT1 News becomes a hub of information - offering the bigger picture for viewers.
The Result
This re-brand communicates the confidence, vibrancy and journalistic values of the news channel. The new identity was well received following a teaser campaign showing the transition of the logo. The re-brand also gained strong press and publicity across the Greek media.
