Identifying an opportunity to promote and extend brand awareness.
In a follow-up to our ‘Lovely Does It’ campaign featuring ambassadors Kara Tointon, Katie Piper and Nadiya Hussain, we identified England Netball as a group of multifaceted, polymath women who embody the broader Oasis brand idea of celebrating women who don’t just look lovely, but do lovely.
Following England Netball’s gold medal win at the Commonwealth Games in 2018, their appointment as ‘Team of the Year’ at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards, and in the year that the Netball World Cup is coming to the UK (Liverpool, July 2019), Oasis were keen to be part of the growing support for the team and to be the first female high-street fashion brand to partner with a sports body.
We developed a Spring Summer campaign with three members of the gold-medal squad: Ama Agbeze, England captain, Jade Clarke, England’s most capped player, and Eboni Usoro-Brown, three-time Commonwealth Games competitor.
Each woman brings an impressive array of other achievements outside her Netball career: from mentoring schoolchildren, practising law, to breaking sporting records.
In our campaign, the women are photographed in a range of outfits from Oasis’ Spring Summer range, but shot in active poses, with props and backgrounds evocative of their Netballing success.
The final campaign imagery is supported by active copy to emphasise their accomplishments and will roll out in-store and across digital and social media.
In line with the launch campaign, we also created a video content series with Ama, Jade and Eboni sharing their top To Do’s and To Don’ts.
